Sports Nutrition: a simple buying guide

The performance side of the store in one place: pre-workout, creatine, amino acids (EAA and BCAA), carbohydrate powders, electrolytes and hydration, and focus products. Use it to browse across categories, or jump straight into one of the ranges below.
These products do different jobs. Creatine is the most researched: creatine increases physical performance in successive bursts of short-term, high intensity exercise, with the beneficial effect obtained from a daily intake of 3 g. Pre-workouts are blends, usually built around caffeine, citrulline and beta-alanine, so the label matters more than the brand. Amino acids come as essential amino acids (EAA) or branched-chain amino acids (BCAA), mostly as flavoured drinks to sip around training. Carbohydrate powders and gels fuel longer sessions, and electrolytes replace the salts lost in sweat. On our Sports Nutrition page, filter by brand, flavour, diet or format to narrow the list.

FAQs
What sports supplements should a beginner buy first?
Most beginners get the most value from creatine monohydrate and, if they struggle to eat enough protein, a protein powder. Pre-workouts and amino acids are optional extras rather than essentials.
Is it safe to take creatine and pre-workout together?
Many pre-workouts already contain creatine, so check the label to avoid doubling up. Follow each product's directions and do not exceed the stated daily serving.
EAA or BCAA: which should I choose?
EAA products contain all nine essential amino acids, while BCAA products contain only three of them (leucine, isoleucine and valine). If you already eat enough protein, neither is essential.
How do I find caffeine-free options?
Use our caffeine-free pre-workout range, or check the caffeine line on each product's label. Many amino, creatine and electrolyte products contain no caffeine, but some energy versions do.
