Branched-chain amino acid products — leucine, isoleucine and valine — as powders, capsules, tablets and ready-to-drink formats.

BCAA products are usually sold at a 2:1:1, 4:1:1 or 8:1:1 ratio of leucine to isoleucine to valine; the higher ratios simply contain proportionally more leucine. Compare total grams per serving as well as the ratio, since scoop sizes differ. Flavoured powders are made to sip through a session; unflavoured mixes into anything but is notably bitter. Worth knowing: BCAAs are three of the nine essential aminos, so EAA blends cover them plus the rest, and a full protein powder already contains all nine, usually at a lower cost per gram.
