Tablets are usually the lowest cost per serving of any format, because more active ingredient fits into a smaller pressed volume than a capsule shell allows. That is also why some are large — check the tablet size and whether it is scored for splitting if swallowing is a concern. Timed-release and effervescent versions behave differently: effervescents dissolve into a drink and are handy for electrolytes and vitamin C. Coatings are often the only non-vegan element, so check the product page if that matters to you. If tablets do not suit, capsules are generally smaller, gummies are chewable, and liquids and drops avoid swallowing altogether.
